Bad Books in Public Schools
Overview: some banned books shouldn't be, such as Huckleberry Finn, 1984, or Lord of the Rings.
Some books, however, are extremely graphic, and provided without any content warnings or parental notifications.
Many of these books I've personally read, so I'm not only speaking from having read reviews of them, but from my own experience. The content in many of these books is so graphic that I will not repeat it here; the Book Looks reviews are not censored, however, so reader be warned.
- Interviews:
- Articles
- Clay Jones on Game of Thrones and Pornography (FB post)
- Officer Gomez on Sex Trafficking/Prostitution among minors in school (FB post)
- I'm including this because:
- Children can become desensitized to sexually graphic activities and content via bad books. Once desensitized, they can be more prone to falling victim to the first and subsequent steps towards trafficking via sexual blackmail and prostitution.
